Location: "Group Help Meeting" - SAVIOUR
These photographs are the choices of location for our final scene in the "group help" meeting. We have decided that we are going to choose the location which is displayed in the first image because it looks more professional and a lot more spacious.
The reason why we did not choose the second location is because we thought that it looked a bit too much like a classroom and that may give an impression that our short film is very amateur.

Shooting Script - SAVIOUR
Due to the fact that we require all of our scenes to look dark and at night time, we are unable to use our lesson time to film because it is still light skies. Therefore, we are using our out of lesson time to film, including weekends and week nights. We have also been staying back after college at 4pm for a couple of hours, to try and get as much work done as possible. We have been using our lesson time to focus on other tasks, such as: Ancillary tasks and soundtracks etc.

Inspiration - SAVIOUR
INSPIRATION
The ideas that we gathered for our short film, 'SAVIOUR' were initially completely our own. However as our ideas became more productive we found a music video by Lana Del Rey which was basically displaying our thoughts and ideas for real. Therefore, this music video inspired us even more and it encouraged our ideas further.
Here is the music video:

Storyboard - SAVIOUR
Storyboard for our short film - SAVIOUR
I thought that it would be a good idea if me and Beth put all of our ideas down onto paper so that we could both clearly see what eachothers ideas were. This is when we created the storyboard. Underneath each image we wrote what was happening in the scene, we thoguht that people would be able to understand the scenes better this way.

Risk Assessment - SAVIOUR
Risk Assessment
Safety is a massive aspect which you must take in to consideration when creating a film. Without assessing the level of safety of some items, peoples lives could be put at risk and that should be the least of your worries when creating a film.
Wires
Creating a film means that you will be using cameras, technical lighting, extension leads etc. which all have wires attached to them. These wires could easily be tripped over and could potentially cause damage to the victim. The best way to avoid tripping over them is to make sure that they are securely fastened to the floor, by something as simple as tape. By doing this, you are saving yourself from potentially having to pay somebody a lot of money if they decide to make a claim.
Technical Lighting
The lamps and other lighting that we use sometimes get incredibly hot. The idea that we had was to turn them off when we are not using them to ensure that nobody gets burnt if they mistakenly touch one of the lamp heads. By turning the lamps off when they aren't in use, not only prevents people from burning themselves, but it also ensures that the lamps aren't going to overheat and potentially smash the lightbulbs which could also lead to further problems regarding safety.
Reduced Visability
We wanted to add some effects with different lighting. Throughout some of our scenes, we want to have dimmed lighting to add a mood to our scene. However, because of the lighting being dimmed, this means that our actors visibility will be reduced, which could potentially become an issue of safety. To prevent any accidents happening whilst the visibility is reduced, we must ensure that there are no objects placed in the acting area, so that there are no possibilites of anybody tripping over and injuring themselves.

Costume & Props - SAVIOUR
Props make up a big part of a film. Without props, characters would have no identity other than their own appearance. I believe that a film without props would be boring.
Props help to convey things ion a film, such as:
- Genre
- Style
- Mood etc.
By writing a list of the props that we require, it helped us feel a bit more organised, as we knew what we needed.

Own Short Film - SAVIOUR
SAVIOUR
As a part of our final grade in A2 Media, we were asked to create a short film. Myself and Bethany D'inverno paired ourselves together to work as a group of two. We became friends through Media and we both thought it would be a good idea if we worked together.
We began discussing our own individual ideas and we placed them both together and we ended up with quite a strong first initial idea of a story line. As a few lessons passed, we both kept on coming up with several different ideas and we just kept adding them on to what we already had. We were so excited to just go ahead and get on with the process of creating our short film but we both knew there was so much more we had to add before we could do this.
This is the Powerpoint that we have created, which is what we will be presenting in our pitch.
